Promotional T-shirts- Promoting Your Brand to The General Public

Friday, April 22nd, 2011

Promotional T-shirts will get you noticed!

Are you looking for a catchy way to promote your brand to the general public? In my opinion, there are few ways to do this that are better than promotional t-shirts. Your customers will love receiving the logo printed clothing. Each time they wear the promotional t-shirts they will be attracting attention to your brand and message.

Few people will not be able to find a use for a free logo printed t-shirt. Personally I must have about fifty – some I wear regularly. I have had a couple for years which I wear out with friends and work colleagues further promoting the brands of the companies that had them printed.

This is why promotional t-shirts make such amazing promotional gifts. They just keep promoting and promotion for as long as they are worn.

Often it is the colour of the shirt that says just as much as the logo and message that is printed on the front. I you have a company colour that people associate with your brand, look for promotional t-shirts in that colour. One popular printed t-shirt brand – Slazenger – offer a rainbow of popular colours.

Promotional t-shirts can be used as free giveaways or as prizes and incentives. Hand them out at your next trade show or offer them as an incentive to your staff to hit sales targets. If you are lucky, you may even have a logo that people will pay to wear such as shirts printed with popular alcohol brands, restaurants, bars and cars.

At the end of the day, there are hundreds of popular ways to attract attention to your brand. Promotional t-shirts are some of the most popular. You don’t really even need me to tell you this as it is obvious. Look around at the people around you. How many promotional t-shirts can you see in an hour? Chances are quite a few!

Promotional shirts can be printed on the front and back which is the most popular place to print them. You might also like to consider printing near the collar or on the sleeves. Printing in unusual places attracts attention as well.

At CompuGift Limited, we specialise in promotional clothing. Why not call us today to discuss your requirements. We would be happy to arrange for you to see samples of the promotional t-shirts that are of interest to you.

See How Easily You Can Gather An Audience At A Trade Show With Promotional T-Shirts

Thursday, January 20th, 2011

Promotional t-shirts are one of the most effective means of advertising your business. In addition to promoting your brand, they are one of the top ways to generate traffic to your trade show display. With a little strategy and creativity, it’s easy to use them to gather an audience around your booth.

Wear Them Yourself

When your representatives are all wearing matching clothing printed with your business logo, it creates a strong visual impression. Well-designed, attractive and recognizable logos are an instant draw. When customers see that many printed t-shirts at once, they will probably wonder if they can get one of their own and walk over to ask.

One way to draw instant attention is to wear black or a variety of colours. Black shirts look sharp and are highly sought after. A wide variety of colours also captures people’s interest, and can help you stand out in a sea of white shirts.

Use Them As Part Of Your Display

Hanging logo printed t-shirts creatively is a great way to entice customers to your booth. Hang them high enough so that people can see them from a distance. Tightly folded shirts at the back of your display will only be seen by “drive by” traffic and won’t do much to attract a crowd. When visitors see them as soon as they enter the building, they will make it a point to stop by your display.

Give Them Away

From a customer standpoint, promotional shirts are some of the most desirable items to come away with from a trade show. They are useful, practical, and if your shirts are good quality, they are guaranteed to be worn. When visitors see others with your t-shirts draped over their arms they are more likely to walk over to your display. Some may even approach people to ask where your display is located.

Place promotional clothing prominently and within reach. When passers-by see the activity at your booth, you will soon have an audience several people deep looking for the right colour and size. Offer children’s sizes and the crowd around your display will grow quickly.

People tend to wear logo printed clothing right away. They may wear your company’s t-shirt in their hotel or around town, and may even wear it if they return to the show. Clear logos and attractive designs will make visitors check their exhibitor lists to find your booth for a shirt of their own.

Want to get your logo out and about promoting your brand? Promotional t-shirts will do just that.

Using Promotional Clothing to Build Your Brand

Promotional Cotton Bags

Promotional cotton bags are an excellent eco friendly choice

You do not need me to tell you how popular promotional clothing is for brand promotion. Everywhere you look, people are wearing corporate clothing such as promotional t-shirts, promotional sweatshirts and caps.

Many businesses such as hotels, restaurants and travel firms use promotional clothing as part of their corporate uniform. This is done not only to promote brand awareness but to help customers know who is employed by the company.

Promotional clothing is also a fantastic way to promote brand awareness at special events such as exhibitions and conferences. Often businesses ask their staff to wear logo printed t-shirts or polo shirts to help promote their company and make them look more professional.

Printed t-shirts are the most popular promotional clothing. They are less expensive than other corporate wear and can look great. T-shirts are therefore available in a massive range of colours.

Polo shirts usually embroidered rather that printed. These shirts look great when worn on the exhibition stand or during a conference.

If you are using promotional clothing such as shirts to wear at a conference, exhibition or every day in the office, it is a good idea to give each staff member at least three shirts. That way they will not need to do washing every day when they return home from work.

In addition to promotional t-shirts and polo shirts, there are many different garments to choose from. You can order shoes, trousers, lanyards, hats, jackets… You name it, you can probably find it.

Of course one of the most popular ways to use promotional clothing to build your brand is to give the garments away. Everyone love free stuff. Give away a logo printed t-shirt or cap and your target customers or employees could be helping build your brand for months if not years each time they wear the printed clothing.

This is free advertising at its best.

Before placing an order, I always recommend requesting samples. That way you can check the sizes, colours and quality of the promotional clothing that interests you. You could be surprised how different a promotional t-shirts looks in a catalogue when compared to the actual product.

It is also a good idea to ask for printed or embroidered samples so that you can see the quality of the imprint. Most suppliers will offer this as standard as they will want to show off the work they have done on behalf of their other customers.

The use of promoting brands with lightweight, low cost t-shirts really took off in the 1970s and their popularity as a promotional tool has grown significantly since then. In this article I aim to let you in on the most important things to consider when purchasing promotional t-shirts to promote your business or organisation. Promotional clothing such as logo printed t-shirts work as walking billboards for your logo and import message. Millions of t-shirts are given away every years by businesses wanting to promote their brand. Some businesses are in the lucky position where they and sell the shirts to their customers and still reap the rewards of having them work as promotional walking billboards for them. Popular restaurants, bars and tourist shops in popular holiday destinations are all big purchasers of promotional t-shirts which they then sell on to their customers.

Branding

Most t-shirts are screen printed. Some heavy weight good quality shirts can also be embroidered. If your company colours are important to your brand, you may also want to build your brand with the use of t-shirts in similar colours.

Employee use

Many businesses use promotional t-shirts to promote themselves at work, at exhibitions and trade shows and at conferences. When purchasing t-shirts for employees it is important to consider how often they will be wearing the shirts. If you are order promotional logo printed shirts for a one off event and branding them for that event, it would be smart to look for inexpensive budget shirts. These t-shirts will look good on the day promoting your brand but will not last long. Printing your logo on promotional clothing is easy with CompuGift!

It is important in any business to ensure your hard working employees know their efforts are appreciated. Doing so is in your best interest and chances are they will work harder for you if they feel their work is being recognised. Promotional gifts such as clothing, gift pens, and desktop items go a long way toward building your brand and they are also excellent employee motivators. In this article I would like to tell you about some of the brilliant ways 3 businesses used promotional gifts to build their brand and motivate their employees.

Enterprise Rent a Car in Modesto California has used promotional gifts for many years as their part of building Enterprise’s brand nationally and internationally. Realising the importance of printing their logo on promotional items they decided to do the same on their employee motivation awards. They had good quality jackets, gift pens and promotional clocks printed with the Enterprise logo and then gifted them to top employees. These much appreciated motivational gifts showed their best employees how important they were to the company while building their brand at the office and around town.

Presentation Plastics, a ring binder manufacturer in North East England used promotional gift pens to show their office employees that their efforts were appreciated. The Cross Century pens were loved by all who received them. They were only given to exceptional staff who had excelled above and beyond what was expected of them. These top quality pens were used in the office and around town promoting the brand to all who saw the stylish metal pens.

Homes and Finance, estate agency in England decided to give all of their employees embroidered windbreakers and polo shirts after a good month. The garments were comfortable and casual. This meant that the employees could wear them while at work or in their free time. Wearing the top quality promotional clothing helped build the company’s brand around town as people began to see and recognise the bright purple clothing and embroidered logo.

Businesses large and small can use promotional items to motivate their employees and build their brands. Promotional gifts do not need to be expensive to be appreciated. Often a simple mouse mat or coffee mug given to an exceptional employee for excellent work can reap amazing results. This article has highlighted just a few ways promotional merchandise has been used to build brands and motivate staff. There are many other excellent stories out there which prove that printed and embroidered merchandise works wonders.

Promotional Clothing for the Work Place

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Promotional work clothing includes any type of uniform or gear that is branded with the company name, logo, or other form of advertisement. At many places of employment, all employees are required to wear company garments at all times. Defined business fashions can help to unify teams and increase production levels through the elimination of garment distractions and gear malfunctions.

Promotional Work Shirts: Company work shirts can be branded with printing or embroidery that depicts any message or image that can promote the company name or product-lines. Long-sleeve and short-sleeve advertising shirts can be made from the popular shirt brands that employees enjoy wearing during their leisure hours. Brand name promotional t-shirts, advertising sports shirts, logo denim shirts, classy turtlenecks, icon sweatshirts, and more are available for sale at the online promotional item stores.

Promotional Jackets and Fleece: Many companies use promotional jackets, advertising hoodies, or fleece pullovers as a part of their everyday business uniforms. Company sweaters, jackets, and hoodies help to eliminate the recurring higher heat costs that many businesses struggle with when employees dress inappropriately for winter. For all outside jobs, company jackets help to keep the uniform showing on the jobsites. Sturdy advertising jackets are sold in large or small lots at discount rates for printing.

Promotional Caps and Visors: Promotional caps and visors can display an advertising message or logo on any part of the hat. Traditionally, the front panels of caps are used to display printed or embroidered information. Cap styles come in low, medium, and tall styles that can allow the right amount of space for branding. Hatbands can come in options that can wick moisture away from the head, and there are many different types of closure systems. Inexpensive promo caps are used in all types of industries.

Promotional Office Gear, Safety Equipment, and Tools: Everything on the jobsite can wear your important company logo. Today’s huge promotional advertising stores carry full lines of office products, safety equipment, and work tools that can benefit all types of industries. Branded business accessories and workplace tools are high-quality items that can help to enhance your important company image. It is possible to get items such as tool promotional lanyards, advertising laptop cases, or elegant safety awards printed with any type of message that will benefit the hosting company or corporation.

Company work clothing and gear is sold in large and small lot sizes at wholesale prices. The unit prices become lower as order sizes go up.

Marketing Mix – How Will I Promote This Product?

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

It is an age old problem: you have a new product to promote but how? Sometimes the new product could be larger than a truck or too expensive to be handing out to just anyone. This is when promotional products become invaluable! There are many promotional gifts that have been designed to promote difficult products to promote. In today’s blog I would like to introduce you to four low cost promotional gifts that are worth spending some time looking in to! Each can be printed with simple or complicated logos or designs.

Promotional Stress Balls: Stressballs are inexpensive, fun foam gifts that everyone loves. These foam products can be manufactured in the shape of your choice and they often are. You could make it very easy on yourself and use one of the over 1000 shapes already available. For example, you could use the computer shaped stress ball and print the screen in full colour with a picture of your product as if it is featured on your website. If you have a little bit of time and are looking at purchasing 500 plus items, you might like to have your stress toys custom made the likeness of your product. This has worked wonders for many marketers.

Promotional Pens: There are quite a few pens on the market that have been designed to promote special products. One such pen is the banner pen. We can ship this unique pen worldwide.  It has a pull out banner that can be printed in full colour on both sides with pictures and details of your product. Another option is to look into the many pens that can now be printed in full colour all over the barrel. Full colour printing looks fantastic on pens. Still another option could be to have a pen clip designed in the likeness of your product. This is becoming much more popular and cheaper to do.

Key Rings: Many keyrings can be manufactured in the likeness of your product. Most are manufactured in aluminum, enamel or plastic. Often, they can be printed in full colour for that additional touch.

T-shirts: Shirts can be printed in full colour on the front, back and sleeves. This does not need to be expensive but if you want your target audience to continue wearing your promo shirts and for that matter continue being a walking billboard for your product, you will want to look for t-shirts that are good quality. With clothing, you really get what you pay for.

At CompuGift, we would be happy to send you samples of any ot the products mentioned in this articles.  Please feel free to leave a comment, positive or negative.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Promotional Tee Shirts –What colour Tee Shirt should you buy?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

If you have been tasked with finding  the solution to your organization or company’s personalized clothing requirements this article is here to help you.

In the first instance most consumers think of Tee Shirts

T-shirts for promotion

CompuGift has an extensive range of promotional t-shirts

on which they can advertise their logo. Tee Shirts are a great idea if you have a limited budget and need to buy in bulk at the cheapest rate possible. It is even possible to buy 1000  printed Tee Shirts for less that £1.00 each so as far as value for money goes you cannot go wrong with Tee-Shirts. Your logo can be placed on the front or back and with a large print area you can display lots of your information on this walking billboard. My advice would be to stick to white or even Natural coloured  T-Shirts as these offer the best value option.

White and natural coloured  Tee Shirts are far less expensive than coloured Tee Shirts so if you are on a limited budget you probably should not even consider purchasing Tee Shirts in any other colours. My personal view is that natural coloured Tee Shirts are your best bet. White does tend to show up the dirt and also probably does not have the longevity of  natural coloured  Tee Shirts.

You will find that coloured Tee Shirts are more expensive and there are more limitations on the printing options.

If you do decide to print on coloured Tee Shirts you must bear in mind that printers are going to make a charge for a ‘flash screen.’ This is necessary to make your coloured design stand out on a vibrant colour background. Flash screens are not necessary for printing on material such as paper or on pens for instance. However due to the absorbent nature of the material in Tee Shirts a flash screen is a prerequisist if you are printing on  to a Tee  Shirt that is any other colour but white or natural. Screens are usually charged at around £35 each and on top of this you will find yourself paying for an additional unit price of at least 25p per Tee Shirt so make allowances for this when choosing your promotional clothing.

If your budget is not restricted to finding the absolute cheapest promotional Tee Shirt, black  is a great colour for a Tee Shirt and looks fantastic emblazoned with a colourful  logo. Your image then will stand out very well and the Tee Shirt is more likely to be warn over and over again as black Tee Shirts do have the advantage of being more fashionable.

There are many different manufacturers of Tee Shirts who specialise in selling their products to the promotional gift industry. Within all of the ranges of  these manufacturers are usually 30 or 40 colours of Tee Shirts from which to make your choice. If you research thoroughly it would most likely be possible to purchase promotional Tee Shirts in the actual colour of your corporate identity. If this is a blue for instance ask for samples in blue colours from various manufacturers and my guess is that one of the shades of blue will be that of your own corporate colour. Your brand will then retain its distinctiveness and it will probably appear that you have had Tee Shirts specially manufactured in your own colour. Your business gift supplier should be able to obtain samples from all the main manufacturers of printed Tee Shirts.

I hope this blog has been of interest to you. Please feel free to leave a comment.
