Promotional Senator Super Hit pen in full colour

The best selling Senator Super Hit pen printed in full colour

Promotional pens have only recently been full colour marketing tools. Not long ago, if you wanted to promote your business in full colour with promotional products, you would need to stick to promotional mouse mats, t-shirts and perhaps photo mugs. Now things have changed and the printing results look fantastic.

There are three pens that you should see if you are interested in full colour printing onto pens. In this article I would like to introduce you to them. There still aren’t many pens that can be printed in full colour but these three offer a good place to start your search.

The Spectrum Pen

This is the budget option.

I love the Spectrum pen. It offers a stylish, slightly flattened barrel that can be printed in brilliant full colour on both sides of the clip.

It is a best selling pen so it never really leaves the printing machines. In fact, you can have the Spectrum pen printed in full colour and despatched in as few as 24 hours!

This service does not cost any more than longer services.

Senator Super Hit Pens

The Senator Super Hit is Senator’s best selling and most popular plastic promotional pen. It has been around for years and won many design awards. Now this popular pen can be wrap printed all over the barrel in full colour.

I would like to encourage you to request samples of this pen. It is a real winner. I have used these pens to promote my own business and couldn’t be happier with the results. The lead-time is three weeks so order early if you need them for a specific date.

Parker Vector Pens

One of Parker’s most popular low cost gift pens can be printed all over the barrel and cap with the pictures of your choice.

People know and respect the Parker brand. You are sure to impress your customers when you offer them one of these eye-catching and colourful writing instruments. All Parker gift pens are supplied in a good quality Parker case.

Printing in full colour is a real specialty. The companies behind these three pens have it down to an art. Other manufacturers don’t. Always ask for printed samples if you do not know and trust the brand.

You should also expect a jpeg or PDF visual of what the finished product will look like. This offers you the opportunity to make any last minute changes or even to completely change the design before going to print.

3 Top Quality Promotional Plastic Pens That are Made in Europe and Sold Worldwide

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011
Promotional Super Hit Pen in full colour

We offer the UK's lowest prices on the complete Senator Pens range!

Promotional plastic pens are the most popular promotional gifts available. They are practical and fulfil a necessary part of our daily work lives. Printing your logo on the right pens can keep you business promoted for months if not years.

This is the magic of promotional pens! For relatively very little you can promote you business in a positive and eye-catching way.

I would like to introduce three promotional pen brands manufactured in Europe that exported worldwide. I have found these brands to be of exceptional quality and would like you to know about them so that you can order samples and test them for yourself.

These brands all write smoothly and offer mix-n-match services so that you can order pens that really compliment your corporate look.

Don’t forget to order those samples! It is the best way to ensure a pen is perfect for your company.

Promotional Senator Pens

Senator pens are manufactured in Germany and have offices around the world. They offer low cost plastic pens such as their new Sunny pen and the World’s most popular plastic pen the Super Hit.

Senator specialise in the promotional pen market so most of their pens offer nice large print areas for your logo and details. Senator also offer nice mid-range pens and executive metal pens. Their selection is quite impressive.

Promotional Prodir Pens

I really like the pens produced by Swiss manufacturer Prodir. Their selection is much smaller than Senator’s but the styles they supply look absolutely fantastic.

Prodir pens are guaranteed to have a writing life up to 5000 meters. That is just over three miles which is quite impressive for a plastic pen. Like Senator, Prodir offers large print areas on the barrel and clip.

Promotional Lecce Pens

Italian made Lecce pens are the least expensive of these three brands but like the others they offer nice designs and the possibility to mix-n-match the colours of the barrel, clip and additional trim features.

Lecce is also very good at printing in full colour on the barrel of quite a few of their promotional pens.

All of the manufacturers are known for their quality writing instruments. You can certainly find pens cheaper but they may not be as well received.

Remember, when giving away promotional pens, it is important to ensure you are giving away quality products that will not dry up shortly after being printed and given away.

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011
Senator Verve Metallic Pens

The New Senator Verve Metallic Pen. Style at an affordable price!

Have you ever seen a pen that just jumped out at you?

Perhaps this is a silly question as pens are not the most exciting products in the world. But they are required daily by us all. This makes them an obvious choice for promoting one’s business.

Perhaps a better question would be…

Have you ever been given a promotional pen that wrote poorly and made you think the company that gave it to you was a bit cheap?

We all have.

It is these same cheap pens that eventually draw people to the quality products manufactured my Senator Pens – one of the most popular manufacturers of plastic promotional pens.

You cannot go wrong with a Senator Pen and the new Verve pen is simply one of the best.

I love the Verve! It is available in twenty new trendy colours that will get your brand noticed. What’s more, its innovative design will get your customers talking about your business! Two years in the making, the pen offers plenty of print space to promote your logo and contact details.

The clip is the most unique part of the pen. It features a double walled clip which is both strong and attractive and offers a super large print area of 40mm x 8mm.

Promotional Senator Verve Transparent Pens

The Senator Verve Transparent in all it trendy colours.

There are two different versions of the Verve pen. A translucent version which has an addition print area on the side of the clip of 18mm x 3mm and a metal trim version.

You can count on the pen to promote your business in a positive way. It comes complete with a huge refill for long writing life. Senator is famous for their smooth writing pens that last for months if not years.

These new pens are really nice to write with and I can assure you they will be very popular. The Verve pen will not be available until for businesses to purchase until the end of February 2011 but orders are already being accepted.

Today I have written with the Senator Verve pen for most of the day. Like the other pens in the Senator’s extensive range it has not let me down.

The pen has jumped out at me. I know it will be a massive hit. In fact I will be placing an order for a large quantity to promote my own business.

Would you like to see a sample? Simply ask as samples are free of charge! You are going to love this pen!

How to Search Online for Promotional Pens

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

When sourcing promotional pens, the best information will be found from those who test and write about pens. This makes sense. There are those who simply sell these popular promotional products hoping for the best and there are those who actually know about and write with the product they sell.

Simply typing in ‘promotional pens’ into Google or Bing is bound to bring up some good results. But often the sites that appear on the first page are there because their owners are search engine optimisation experts and not necessarily promotional pen experts.

A few of my competitors, for example, have high ranking sites on Google in the UK but their pen definitions are written in broken English by someone who probably knows very little about the products.

I recommend searching for sites online that offer the information you are looking for. If you find a pen you really like, don’t stop there! Key the pen name and brand into Google and Bing and see who is writing about them.

Find the people who are passionate about the writing instruments they sell and can offer you not only the positives but the negatives of the promotional pens they sell. Personally I spend hours testing different brands as I understand that most of my customers will not have the time to do so.

Searching for promotional printed pens can be a difficult chore. Try to type as much information into the search field as you can. For example, if you like promotional Senator Pens, type in the models you like. Don’t just type ‘promotional Senator pens,’ type ‘Promotional Senator Challenger pens’ if the Challenger is your pen of choice.

This is called long tail searching and it will bring up much better results. Doing so may even help you find companies who have used the pens and can give you the pros and cons. Is that not what we want when we are looking at spending a considerable about of money on pens? You wouldn’t purchase a car without test driving it would you?

There is no better way to get to know a promotional pen than to ask for a sample and to write with it. This is not always possible due to short lead-times. Long tail searching is the next best thing as it puts you in touch with the promotion pens companies that know the pens you want, best.

Why Use Promotional Pens?

Saturday, December 4th, 2010

A 2010 study by the ASI (The Advertising Specialty Institute) showed that an amazing 63% – that’s two thirds – of business people questioned in the UK have received and kept a promotional pen within the last 12 months. Can you see the outstanding marketing and brand building potential here?

The study also showed that on average a promotional pen is used 19 times per month. In fact the study also showed that promotional pens are the most often used promotional product in London.

Of course poor quality pens will be used much less often. Good quality pens such as Prodir pens and Senator pens will be used more frequently. A good quality brand name gift pen could be used daily.

When you are choosing corporate pens to promote your business, it is a good idea to ask yourself if you would want to own and use the pens. If the answer is no, then don’t buy them. I get asked regularly for the cheapest pens we supply. Personally I think this is false economy!

You do not need to spend a lot of money to find good quality promotional pens that will represent your company in a positive way.

I write with and test popular promotional pens daily which I regularly review and blog about. I do this to help my readers find the perfect pens for their business. When people purchase pens for promotion, they are more often than not in a hurry so I hope the reviews help.

That said, there is nothing like trying a pen before you buy to ensure you are buying the best pens for your marketing requirements. Plastic pen samples are normally free of charge where gift pens can usually be sent out to be tested and then returned. I strongly recommend that you do so if time allows.

One good rule of thumb when purchasing budget pens is If they are being sold for next to nothing, there is probably a good reason for it. If you really want to see for yourself, don’t just write with the pens – take them apart. Look at the quality of the spring and refill inside. Compare the construction of the economy pens to that of other pens.

Which do you think will represent your business the longest and in the best way?

Promotional pens – when of good quality – can be used by the owner for months if not years. This is excellent low cost advertising. Remember, the longer the pen is kept and used, the more good publicity your company will receive.

Getting the Most Out of Your Promotional Pens

Sunday, November 28th, 2010
Promotional Parker Jotter Pens

Promotional Parker Jotter Pens are some of the most popular corporate pens in the UK.

Choosing cost effective promotional merchandise can be one of the greatest challenges for the business owner. It is important to search for promotional products that will attract new customers and keep those long time loyal customers loyal.

This task is made even more frustrating when you do not realise instant results. Often this has led small business owners and even a few larger businesses to slim down their marketing budgets.

This is not a good idea.

You see, when you use good quality promotional pens to promote your brand, you know that you are giving away gifts that will be used and will ultimately achieve excellent results over time.

Following are a few ways to use promotional pens and gift pens in your marketing that will get you the results you want.

Give Promotional Plastic Pens Around the Office

Whether you have a lot of staff or just a few, ensuring a good quantity of logo printed pens are scattered around the office is a good idea. This will help increase brand awareness with your employees and any visitors. It will also ensure no one needs to go looking for pens around the office.

Give Away Good Quality Plastic Pens at Special Events

Whether you are exhibiting at a trade show or doing a direct mailing campaign, ensure your good customers receive at least one quality plastic pen – more if you can. Quality is the key word here.

Remember that although cheap plastic pens may seem like a good idea at the time, over time they could do you more harm than good. They could even make your business look cheap.

Give Quality Metal Gift Pens to Top Clients

You should give all of your customers plastic promo pens but if you have a few top clients you really want to impress, nothing beats the name brands! Look into the selections supplied by Parker Pens, Lamy Pens, Cross Pens and Waterman.

Giving a name brand pen will show your customers how much you appreciate their business. These name brand pens can be used for many years.

If you are on a budget, check out the slightly less expensive range by Balmain. These gift pens write smoothly and look fantastic.

One Final Thought

Let’s say you purchase 50 Balmain gift pens at £7.50 each. This could look like a lot of money to the small business owner. At first it could be. But when you consider that business gifts that are needed often and are of good quality can be kept for years, they are an amazing value for money.

Let’s see… 25 pens at £7.50 each is £375.00. Over a year, you are paying less than a pound per day to advertise to your top 50 customers! Not bad if you ask me.

What Do You Want From Your Low Cost Promotional Plastic Pens?

Friday, November 26th, 2010

If you are purchasing promotional pens for your next promotion, you need to ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish with them. I receive enquiries daily for the ‘cheapest promotional pens’ we do.

They cost about 10p each and personally I hate them. You probably would too.

Promotional pens are one of the best ways to promote your business or organisation. They work well because they are useful. Everyone needs to write at home and/or at work daily.

The best promotional gifts are those that are both useful and that people want to own. When you are looking for the cheapest pens available you will most likely end up with a pen that does not fulfil either of these reuirements.

For under 20p each, you can purchase good quality plastic pens if you order in large quantities. If you are ordering a small quantity of pens, say 250 to 1000, you will want to be looking around the 30 to 40p mark for pens that write well, look good and have the added bonus of being the kind of low cost gifts people will actually want.

Of course you get what you pay for.

I always recommend asking for samples before placing an order for low cost plastic promotional pens. Write with the samples and ask your work colleagues to do so as well.

Think to yourself – do you want to own that pen. Would you write with it often? Would you throw it in the bin or keep it safely in your top desk drawer?

Anyone would prefer to write with a good quality and more expensive gift pen. These are gifts you can save for your best clients but plastic pens are still required and looked for everyday. Most people will keep a few in their desk or briefcase even if they have a better quality brand name gift pen on their desktop.

It is important to note that their are hundreds of thousands of promotional plastic pens on the market. You will want to look around and check out both the generic and name brand options such as Senator, Lecce and Prodir.

Generally speaking, the name brand plastic pens are the best but there are some very good quality generic pens on the market. Do not be afraid to ask for any of the samples of pens that are of interest to you as they are normally free of charge and will help you with your decision.

A promotional pens supplier should be able to offer you professional advice about which personalised pens are best for you. If you are looking for a long writing life you will want to look for Senator and Prodir pens. If you need to have your logo printed in full colour, Senator, Lecce and Bic are all good places to start. If you want metal pens at plastic pen prices, you should be able to find these as well.

Spend a little time while sourcing and you will be much happier when your printed promotional pens arrive.

A Guide to Ordering Express Printed Promotional Pens

Wednesday, November 17th, 2010
Spectrum Pens

Promotional Spectrum Pens can be express printed in full colour in 24 hours!

With all the pressures involved in running a business and especially the marketing of that business,  it is not unusual that the freebie handout gifts for an event are left to order until the very last few days. Luckily promotional pens work excellently as promotional gifts and can also be produced extremely quickly.

If your logo or design is only one single colour then you will be faced with the most choice of promotional pens in a multitude of colours. The average promotional pen on an express service has a print area of around 30 x 25mm so there would normally be plenty of space to fit all your details and a logo. You will firstly need to choose the pen colour followed by the colour of the print that you would like your information to appear in. If the pen has for example a white barrel with a choice of six or seven different trim colours it can be easiest to advise your promotional pens’ supplier to print to match the chosen trim colour of the pen. However you may also have a pantone colour to be matched and this should be no problem at all, even on an express service.

The last thing and often an important consideration is the ink colour the promotiona pens have. The majority of pens are supplied with black ink as standard but it is always wise to check the ink colour if it is important to you as you can be caught out and find that your chosen pen has blue ink.

Over the past few years it has become increasingly easy to procure pens printed multi colour in only a few days. If your design is more like a picture and does not have accurate pantone colours to match there are a few pens on the market that can be printed full colour digitally and delivered to you within two working days. The most popular of these pens is the Spectrum pen which comes with black ink and has a choice of eight standard trim colours. The Spectrum Pen only has a relatively small print area of approximately 35 x 7 mm but a photographic image can be replicated within this area giving you fantastic scope for your promotion.

To sum up there are very few business gifts which can be delivered to you in a couple of days but promotional pens need not be a lacklustre giveaway at your event due to the choice and print magnitude now available.

Promotional Plastic Pens Can Help Increase Your B2B Turnover

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

Promotional plastic pens come in many styles and price brackets. If you are trying to increase your business turnover you will want to be looking at the mid-range pens that write smoothly across the page and have large capacity refills so that they write for a long time. This is especially so when your customers are other businesses.

Think about this… A company sends you a news letter, catalogue and a cheap plastic pen to introduce their products and services. You are busy so you take the letter and catalogue out and place them to the side and grab hold of the pen.

You were just about to start jotting down some notes so the gift will come in handy.

You write a paragraph and the pen begins to dry up. You throw it in the bin along with the catalogue. Is that the first impression you want to make with your target customers?

Promotional pens are ideal for increasing your brand awareness if you choose the best pens. Doing so will keeps people interested in your brand and as long as you have the customer service down and you have an excellent product and/or service on offer the pens will ultimately result in more sales.

I always recommend taking your time when sourcing promotional pens. Write with good quality plastic promotional pens. Check out the pens manufactured by the top plastic pen companies such as Senator Pens, Lecce Pens, Prodir and Roubil. You may also like to look at some of the excellent quality generic pens on the market. Write with them and pass them around your office for colleagues to try as well.

It is also wise to consider that a very important part of a successful promotions with printed pens is getting your design right. This is not as important as sending out pens that write well but it is a very close second!

Many promotional pen manufacturers offer mix-n-match options which allow you to choose the barrel, clip and other trim colours of your pen. You may also like to look for pens with large print areas on the barrel and clip so that your message and logo is easier read and looks fantastic

In my business the majority of pen orders are express orders. People phone in a panic saying that they need 500 pens tomorrow and what can we do? Although there are many pens that can be printed and despatched within 24 hours, these pens just will not achieve the same impact!

By taking your time to choose smooth writing good quality pens that have plenty of room of your logo and details, the pens are much more likely to achieve that all important result – increased sales!
