Promotional folders

Promotional folder make excellent gifts for your blogging customers!

Does your company have a blog?

Chances are if you are reading this article you either have a blog or you have considered starting a one. Many of your suppliers and customers will have a blog too.

Writing informative articles is an excellent way to share what you know about your industry and get to know your target customers better. One thing is certain, blogging is here to stay and it is becoming a necessary part of being in business.

I aways stress to my customers that useful promotional gifts work better than gimmicky gifts. Give your customers a promotional product they will use often and your business will be better promoted. Desktop products such as pens, note pads, clocks and coasters are all examples of useful products that office based customers will want to own and use.

Even better than useful all round gifts are products that are carefully targeted to you customers’ needs.

Getting to know your customers interests and activities and then giving them promotional gifts that are targeted at them will help ensure your promotions are even better and last longer.

Look at your customer database. Do a bit of research and try to find who is active in blogging and article marketing. You may already know who these customers are which will make your job much easier. When you have a good list of these forward thinking clients, give them one or more of the following business gifts.

They will love you for it.

Good Quality Promotional Pens

Writers write! They are not alway near a computer when their best ideas come to them. It is little wonder that some of the most popular online article distribution companies feature a picture of a pen in their logo.

Offering your blogging customers a good quality pen that they can use for their articles and whenever else they have something to write down is a good idea.

Some companies prefer to give their best customers executive gift pens where others are just as happy giving their customers a handful of good quality plastic pens. The key word here is ‘quality.’ Look for pens that write smoothly and consistently.

Promotional Note Pads

Note pads printed with your logo and details keep your brand in front of your customers daily. Again, your blogging customers will certainly appreciate one or more good quality note pads that they can use to jot down notes and ideas.

Promotional Mugs

Many writers come up with their best ideas when they are relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea. On average we all take about five coffee breaks each and every work day. Logo printed mugs offer an excellent opportunity for you to promote your business daily for months if not years!

Heavy Duty Mouse Mat

What do you think happens to those flimsy cheap promotional mouse mats? Some do get used but as soon as something better comes along they get put to the side or worse – thrown away.

If you want your company logo and details to be in front of your customers daily where they do the majority of their blogging, give them a good quality heavy-duty mouse mat printed with your logo and contact details.

Conference Folders

Anyone who blogs will love a nice place to put all their notes. A good quality portable conference folder is the answer. If budget permits you might even like to give your customers a complete collection of all the promotional products mentioned in this article.

Giving your blogging customers gifts will be greatly appreciated. These are not just business gifts printed with your logo but products that are carefully targeted at them. They are products that will make their work lives easier and more enjoyable.

This is important. It will show that you care about them and their business. These gifts will help demonstrate that it is not all about business but building good relationships.

I would like to suggest that before you purchase any business gifts that you ask for samples. This is a good way for you to check the quality of products of interest as well as their colour and the print. Products can look a lot different in a catalogue or online than they actually are.

So what are you waiting for? You have customers who are trying to promote their businesses using social media. You can be part of all of that and build your brand at the same time!

Great Promotional Products for Sporting Events

Promotional Senz umbrellas

The Senz wind proof umbrella can withstand winds up to 70 mph!

Think for a minute about all of those packed sports stadiums you see on TV around the UK. In the UK we are mad about sports and this offers businesses across England, Scotland, N Ireland and Wales the perfect opportunity to promote their brands in a big way.

Sports contests are held year round which means you can promote your brand easily with products that your sports mad clients will love and use. Get your logo on sports themed business gifts and your brand will be seen by your target customers for years.

So where do you start?

Well, what promotional products do you see when you watch those sporting events either live or on telly? How about promotional imprinted blankets, cooler bags, good quality sports umbrellas and those annoying but must have bull horns and clappers?

I was recently contacted by a friend who is the coach of a youth football team. He wanted to make a big impression and even earn a little money for the club. He requested each of the before mentioned promotional products colour coordinated in his team colours. We also printed the team logo on the products.

Not only did the team members and their families want this branded promotional merchandise, so did many of the people attending their games. He ended up making a large profit to be reinvested for the team and his team’s side of the stadium blew away that of the competition. In fact it put the other side’s audience to shame.

So you see, you do not need to be the promotions director of a major sports team to take advantage of all that promotional merchandise can do for you. People with budgets large and small can use promotional merchandise very successfully.

Other items that may be of interest that also happen to get excellent results are promotional tote bags, travel mugs and thermoses that can be filled with hot coffee, tea or soup. These promotional items can be used for sporting events or any event for that matter.

One of my favourite promotional products of the moment is the new Senz wind proof umbrella. You may have seen it on television. If not, type ‘Senz umbrellas’ in YouTube and prepare to be impressed.

This amazing umbrella can withstand winds of up to 100 kph and it is seen often on golf courses and at other outdoor sporting events. Print a quantity of these eye-catching umbrellas with your logo and watch as they attract attention from all those who see them.

Okay – so we have looked at products for the audience but what about the players?

Get your logo printed on promotional water bottles or even the sports team’s clothing. If you can find a way of doing this, your logo will be where everyone is focusing their attention.

There are literally hundreds of fun and useful promotional products that can carry your logo to sporting events large and small. These are items that are needed or if nothing else are a bit of fun. What a great way to promote your brand.

Attracting New Customers with Promotional Products

promotional mouse mats

Promotional mouse mats get great results

I have always stressed the importance of giving away promotional products that people will want to use and own. These promotional items do not need to be expensive to be effective! You can purchase promotional products quite inexpensively that people will use often and keep for months if not years.

Promotional plastic pens, PVC coasters, corporate mouse mats and personalised mugs are all examples of low cost high value gifts that we all used daily. Getting your logo and contact details onto one or all of these products is therefore a very good idea.

Personally I think it is always best if you can give your gifts to prospective clients that you have met or with whom you have some sort of professional relationship.

In the past a lot of promotional products campaigns were built around trade shows and conferences. They still are.

But recently there is a new trend starting. People are spending a lot more time getting to know perspective clients online on social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. You do not need to spend much time on either of these social networks to see that companies are beginning hold competition and free giveaways online. This trend is only going to grow.

Corporate bloggers are also growing in numbers as people begin to realise and understand the advantages of promoting their own products and services through social media. Many are offering special incentives to those who actively participate in their blogs by leaving comments or by responding to their call to action – usually clicking on a link to their website and registering or purchasing a product.

However you decide the best way to promote your services and products to your target audience, there will be a promotional product that can help you to do it.

Useful promotional products that people can easily connect with your brand will achieve the best results.

A restaurant near a golf course could give their regular or corporate customers good quality golf umbrellas with their logo printed all over the canopy. These umbrellas would surely be used on the course and promote the restaurant to everyone that sees their advert – attracting new customers all over town.

A website design company could hand out creatively designed, eye catching mouse mats that show off their design style. Get the design right and new customers could be lining up at the door. A plumbers merchant may want to hand out good quality tape measures at a trade show to the people who are not currently using them.

All of these gifts are useful and over time will make people want to do business with the gift giver.

Can you think of any gifts that would promote your products or services really well? I have been in the promotional merchandise industry and have yet to find an industry that cannot benefit from the use of promotional products.

Start your search early. Give yourself plenty of time to see samples and you will find just what you are looking for.

5 Questions to Ask Yourself When Purchasing Promotional Gifts

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

Purchasing promotional gifts just for the sake of purchasing promotional gifts is a mistake. It is a mistake that many people make because they know how well business gifts work but they wait too long to start their search.

If you give yourself a little time to choose the best gifts for your marketing requirements you will get better value for your money.

Here are five questions everyone should ask themselves before purchase business gifts in bulk.

Do my customers need this product?

This question is very important and should be taken seriously. Think about what your customers really need. Consider whether they will actually use the product or stash it away in a drawer with the printed Rubik’s Cubes and flimsy mouse mats your competitors gave them. Quality does matter! Give your customers gifts they will want to own.

Would you like to receive your free gift?

This question is of course very much related to the last question but ask yourself anyway. What would you think if one of your suppliers gave you the same gift? Would you like it? Would you use it regularly? Choose promotional gifts you would like to receive.

Does the promotional products promote your company image well?

You want to find gifts that represent the way you want people to see your brand. You could see your business as being innovative with a fresh stylish look. So look for innovative and stylish business gifts such as eye-catching promotional pens, bright full colour mouse mats or handy desktop translucent calculators.

If your business has more of a traditional look and feel you may want to give away leather bound note pads or desktop silver photo frames.

Are the products I like able to carry my message?

So many people look for promo-products that look stylish and then insist on purchasing a large quantity even though their message and logo are far too big for the print area.

If you have a lot to promote or a complicated logo, look for promotional items that will look good when printed with your information. It is no good handing out attractive gifts if your customers need to squint to read your information. They probably won’t bother.

By the way, your promotional gift supplier should be more than happy to offer advice and show you digital visuals with your information on your products of choice.

Do the promotional product/s have a long shelf life?

Generally speaking, you want to purchase promotional items that have a long shelf life, which your customers will be able to use for months if not years. Good quality promotional plastic pens should write for months and they are easy and inexpensive to replace. Desktop clocks, fabric mouse mats and attractive stylish mugs all can be used for long periods of time – years – promoting your brand all along the way.

Ask yourself these questions and you are well on your way to a successful promotion.

Promotional Gifts – Reminders On The Desktop

colour change promotional clocks

One of our most popular colour change clocks - eye catching and great value for money

What was the last promotional gift you received? Do you still have it? Do you use it? One thing to keep in mind is longevity. Items that are always visible are constant reminders of your services.

Think about things you use every day at work. Here are some ideas that will keep your logo visible for years:

1. One of my favourite items is a nice clock. Everyone uses a clock. Once you have one on your desk like the promotional clock featured, it becomes a habit to look at it several times a day. There are a huge variety of clocks to choose from. All different shapes, sizes, colours and designs from whimsical to elegant. There are enough choices for any budget.

2. Office workers are becoming more aware of ergonomic environments and are now using the gel pad wrist rests for both keyboards and mice. Lots of room for your logo and/or catch phrase.

3. How about a USB hub with your logo? These days people have many different USB devices such as Ipods, phones, printers, etc. You can’t have too many USB ports and having a hub at your fingertips, with your logo of course, is a great accessory.

4. Although this is not a computer accessory, pen/pencil holders are another good way to get that brand out there. Most people don’t like clutter on their desks but a nice container will stay visible. Bright, cheerful colours always improve the mood in a workspace. Not everyone in the office likes the geek gift!

5. Everyone’s favourite is a mouse pad. Always on your desk and looked at hundreds of times a day. Inexpensive but appreciated. Nobody likes a dull mouse pad and it takes years to wear one out.

6. Maybe a digital desktop calendar? There are some that have an arm that quickly swings back and forth and delivers a message. You can program them quite easily and they are quite a conversation starter. This could easily bring your company to mind when they see such an unusual item.

7. It’s always fun to think outside the box. Why not brand a mouse? Receiving a gift like this will surely keep your company in the front of people’s mind.

So have some fun with your promotional gifts. Go crazy! Make your gift fun and memorable. What would you love to receive for your desk? What would put a smile on your face? Top quality promotional desktop gifts are most likely to be used and kept for years to come.

4 port USB hubs

Our Turtle 4 port USB hub is proving to be a bit hit!

Have you ever received a promotional gift during the Christmas season?

Thousands of businesses each year decide to use promotional gifts, which they send out to employees and to their clients. Chances are very good that you’ve received some sort of promotional desktop gift during your professional life. You may have received a personalised USB hub, mouse mats  or even something simple but needed  like a promotional coffee mug.

The fact is that promotional products are sent out  each Christmas season because they are extremely effective promotional tools. The companies that use promotional merchandise for customers and employees during the holiday season see an instant return on their investment and often see the benefits of promotional Christmas gifts for years to come.

This is especially true for companies that use promotional desktop gifts designed for computer users.

These days, nearly every office uses computers and nearly every person with a desk job works at a computer for hours out of each day. The right promotional items can make a big difference, as they’ll see and work with them every day. A promotional USB flash drive, for instance, will make an immediate impression on customers, and they’ll often begin using them on a day to day basis. As long as the flash drive is working, your company’s name will be quite literally right at the client’s fingertips.

It is, of course, important to choose good quality promotional gifts. This is especially true for computer items, which contain delicate electronics. While it’s possible to find promotional desktop gifts that are cheaply produced, always go for quality.

Have you ever bought a USB hub or another computer device that lasted for years? These types of devices are obviously much more useful than cheap devices that break right out of the box, and they foster much more good will when used as a promotional gift.

The Christmas season is a great time to market your company, and promotional items are a great way to do this affordably and effectively. You’ll be spreading the good cheer of the season while improving name recognition among your clients and improving employee morale.

Promotional desktop gifts are a fantastic way to market effectively for years to come, and an obvious buy for any business that believes in the power of good customer and employee contact. Remember, you’ve received promotional Christmas gifts in the past–shouldn’t you use the same effective methods for your business?

Creating a Good Image with Innovative Promotional Desktop Gifts

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

Along with offering quality products to their customers, business owners also have to consider the items they are using to promote their business. The truth is, if your business sells high-quality, high-priced items and it hands out a small promotional keychain to its customers, many of your customers will think your business doesn’t care about them and it could lose some customers. In fact, they may even think you are cheap. To get more business, you need to consider using innovative new promotional gifts for the desktop.

By giving quality items and more innovative products to your customers and prospects, you are going to prove to them that they are valuable. The goal of every marketing campaign is to not just grow your business, but to improve the overall reputation of your business. Giving away promotional USB flash drives, promotional desk planners, and other popular items, you are going to improve how your customers perceive your business.

Once you have chosen some of the more innovative and new promotional items, you will want to take careful consideration on what you have imprinted on them. Along with your company name, you will want to include your company logo. You also may want to consider imprinting a special message to your prospects and customers. This can easily help to relay how important they are to your company.

You will also have to determine who you are going to give them to and how. Do you wish to simply give them to each of your customers who order a certain dollar amount? Or will you use them to give out to contest winners in hopes to get more attention for your business? You could even decide to give one of the promotional gifts to any customer that refers a new, buying customer to your business. Truthfully, there are numerous ways you can use them in the promotion of your business.

Before you place an order for the promotional items you are going to use in a new marketing campaign, make sure you are ordering more innovative and new promotional gifts for the desktop. A promotional USB flash drive can be used in both business and fun. Promotional mouse mats can liven up just about any desk. By thinking a little bit outside the box and offering more valuable and usable promotional gifts to your customers, you will prove they, too, are a valuable part of your business.

Brilliant Corporate Design and Promotional Mouse Mats

Monday, August 16th, 2010

Are you considering a new business venture, or is your business established without a serious means of promotion? Promotional items used as giveaways are great ways to promote your business to the public. Gifts come in a variety of choices such as pens, mugs, and apparel, and social media and article marketing have crept onto the promotional scene as well; however, there are a few things to consider before making a decision on gift-item giveaways.

Promoting your business begins with the company image, which is your logo and design. A memorable and long-lasting business image takes brainstorming and time. Create the company image carefully and keep in mind future growth of the business. Image is both simple and complex with the simple noting that images are recognised easily by the target audience and complex meaning that all elements of advertising, marketing communications, and publicity work together in the marketing strategy to promote your business.

An important question to ask with regard to company image concerns differentiation. How does your logo and design differentiate your business from the competition? What is special about your business that the competition cannot claim? Is the logo and design memorable, and what is the best option for business promotion using the logo and design?

Promotional gifts to customers are an excellent way to promote your business and keep your name in constant contact with current and prospective customers. When making a decision about which promotional item to purchase as a gift giveaway, it is important to consider whether the item is useful. Other important considerations are affordability and volume cost. Because mouse mats are useful, they are an excellent choice for promotional-gift giveaways.

Mouse mats display your logo in vivid colour in front of the customer on a regular basis. Because most everyone uses a computer, mouse mats will keep your company name on the customer’s desk 24/7. Mouse mat printing reproduces stunning coluor, and the mats come in various weights and non-slip surfaces for both the standard and optical mouse. These promotional items are affordable and a volume discount given for large purchases.

Because they are useful, affordable, and great way to promote your business 24/7, vivid logo design printed on mouse mats is a great choice. Try promotional gift items to promote your business and discover the difference these affordable options can make for owner and customer purchasing choices.

Promotional Mouse Mats and Other Favourites

Promotional Mouse Mats and Gifts

CompuGift is the UK's leading online supplier of promotional desktop gifts

Have you been trying to get your logo in front of your customers? Advertising can be timely and expensive, but it doesn’t have to be. Promotional gifts are a great option to help you achieve this goal.

What do you think about using promotional mouse mats to promote your brand? Most people have a computer nowadays, either in their home or at the office. What better way to help you get the word out about your business, especially if the items used for promotion are bright, attractive and free to your customers.

Most people like to receive a gift, right? Additionally, people like to have a mouse pad for their PC as well. The next question you might have is, “How will you distribute the mouse pads?” There are a variety of ways that you can give away presents that have your logo displayed on them.

Custom imprinted pens, mugs, clothing, fleeces, tea cups and mouse mats can be given away at business parties and conferences, at trade shows or online, through public networks. Some individuals offer free products to people with the company logo on it so that people will follow their social media pages. This concept works well for any idea that you are trying to promote.

When you use promotional gifts for marketing, it works very well and is a cost-effective solution to spreading the word about a company’s products and/or services. There are large selections of promotional items one can choose from.

When you are deciding which products to use with your marketing goals, you will want to think about what the majority of the world generally uses and takes with them everywhere. Promotional pens are very popular too. Everywhere you go or look, you either see a pen or someone is looking for one.

Some very popular items used in advertising a company’s logo are tea cups, coffee mugs, clothing, mouse mats or other business and personal gifts similar to these kinds.

A promotional mouse mat is an ideal item to put your logo on and get it in front of your customers. It is small, which means it will not cost as much to ship to you, and mouse pads are a favourite among many people.

It is a good idea to order bulk amounts of marketing presents. If you order small amounts of them, you will end up spending more money in the long run, and you will probably find out that you will need to order more sooner than you think.

Promotional Merchandise Builds Brands

Promotional fleeces

Promotional fleeces look fantastic embroidered with a logo.

Imprinted promotional gifts such as promotional mugs, logo printed pens, promotional mouse mats and more are a very effective and relatively inexpensive way to build customer loyalty and goodwill. No matter how successful a person is, everybody likes getting free stuff and little gifts. Free stuff and little gifts make people happy. And if a business has its name and/or logo on the free stuff, the happiness people feel over these gifts transfers over to that business.

Not only do promotional items make customers happy, they also keep the business name and logo in the customers’ line of sight all day long. How many times a day do people reach for a pen or a sticky note pad? The answer is – lots. And if the customer sees the name and logo on that promotional pen or promotional sticky note pad every time they reaches for it, that’s a lot of views. The customer will be very aware of the business that’s represented on the promotional items, and as preciously mentioned, the association will be positive.

Promotional gifts don’t have to stay at the office, either. Imprinted items include promotional water bottles, embroidered fleeces, promotional coolers/lunchbags, promotional can cozies, and more. Recreational items such as logo printed Frisbees, promotional puzzles and games, promotional candies/cookies, promotional fans, sunglasses, and promotional golf or tennis balls are especially successful in increasing visibility. These are additional opportunities to make customers happy and to have them associate their happiness with your business name and logo.

The cost of this exposure and goodwill is surprisingly inexpensive. When bought in bulk, as businesses would be wise to do, the cost per item can range from a few pennies for a promotional pen to a few dollars for a promotional backpack or lunch bag or flash drive. Promotional items that can usually be purchased for under a dollar include custom-printed pens, highlighters, sticky note pads, water bottles, can cozies, stress balls and magnets.

Extra-special VIP customers may deserve special promotional gifts such as imprinted fleece blankets, towels, umbrellas, portfolios, or laptop cases. Gifts such as cookies, candy, fruit baskets, and sometimes even wine bottles can also be customised and imprinted. Even the high-end items are a very small price to pay for keeping a business’s name and logo in front of a happy customer all day long.
