Promotional Gifts – Reminders On The Desktop

colour change promotional clocks

One of our most popular colour change clocks - eye catching and great value for money

What was the last promotional gift you received? Do you still have it? Do you use it? One thing to keep in mind is longevity. Items that are always visible are constant reminders of your services.

Think about things you use every day at work. Here are some ideas that will keep your logo visible for years:

1. One of my favourite items is a nice clock. Everyone uses a clock. Once you have one on your desk like the promotional clock featured, it becomes a habit to look at it several times a day. There are a huge variety of clocks to choose from. All different shapes, sizes, colours and designs from whimsical to elegant. There are enough choices for any budget.

2. Office workers are becoming more aware of ergonomic environments and are now using the gel pad wrist rests for both keyboards and mice. Lots of room for your logo and/or catch phrase.

3. How about a USB hub with your logo? These days people have many different USB devices such as Ipods, phones, printers, etc. You can’t have too many USB ports and having a hub at your fingertips, with your logo of course, is a great accessory.

4. Although this is not a computer accessory, pen/pencil holders are another good way to get that brand out there. Most people don’t like clutter on their desks but a nice container will stay visible. Bright, cheerful colours always improve the mood in a workspace. Not everyone in the office likes the geek gift!

5. Everyone’s favourite is a mouse pad. Always on your desk and looked at hundreds of times a day. Inexpensive but appreciated. Nobody likes a dull mouse pad and it takes years to wear one out.

6. Maybe a digital desktop calendar? There are some that have an arm that quickly swings back and forth and delivers a message. You can program them quite easily and they are quite a conversation starter. This could easily bring your company to mind when they see such an unusual item.

7. It’s always fun to think outside the box. Why not brand a mouse? Receiving a gift like this will surely keep your company in the front of people’s mind.

So have some fun with your promotional gifts. Go crazy! Make your gift fun and memorable. What would you love to receive for your desk? What would put a smile on your face? Top quality promotional desktop gifts are most likely to be used and kept for years to come.

Promotional Christmas Gifts-5 Low Cost Ideas for Building Your Brand

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010
santa stress balls

The Santa stress balls is very popular!

I believe it is better to promote a business with promotional gifts that are useful and have staying power.

Desktop gifts such as promotional clocks, engraved metal gift pens and luxurious desktop digital photo frames are all perfect for your top clients. They will remain on their desks for years promoting your brand.

In this article, however, I would like to tell you about five low cost gifts that are perfect for promoting your brand to everyone else. Getting your logo throughout your office and the offices of your customers is never a back thing. These promotional items will promote your brand while spreading a little good old fashion Christmas cheer.

Christmas Themed Stress Balls

I have a customer who received a box of twenty Santa shaped stress balls from me two years ago. He handed them out around his office. I recently visited him and was amazed to see that at least three were still floating around his office. Just because a promotional item has a Christmas theme does not mean it will be thrown away after Christmas! People love stress balls and will keep them for ages.

Look into the popular Santa, Snowman and Christmas tress stress balls shapes.

Christmas Themed Mugs

One of my clients had a great ideas a couple of years back. He has an employee who is a brilliant artist. My customer asked him to draw a Christmas cartoon including the company’s logo and moose mascot. They had the Christmas cartoons printed onto a batch of photo mugs and gave them to all of their customers.

The promotion went down so well they now send new cartooned mugs to their customers every three to four months.

Do you have a talented artist working for you? Perhaps you do not know it yet. Why not hold a competition to find the best design for your Christmas mugs?

Calendar Mouse Mats

Some calendar mouse mats are exceptional quality and do not cost a lot. By giving your customers mouse mats starting in December and finishing 14 months laster, you have a good chance of promoting your brand on their desktop for over a year! Desktop property is valuable property! Give this a try.

Again, you could either use a designer or try using some of that hidden talent within your own organisation to create a special Christmas design.

Christmas Themed Logo Bugs

You know what these are – the little fuzzy bobbles that have eyes and other features. Usually they have a printed flag attached to them and self adhesive feet so that they can be stuck to walls and computer monitors.

Why not have a large batch made for Christmas? Give your customers a handful for their office. Often the flags are printed with a discount code that is valid all year.

This means your Santa logo bugs could still have prime position on your customers’ computer screens all year round!

Christmas Themed Highlighters

Why highlighters? Highlighters are different to pens in that they are not used every day. A low cost Christmas pen could be tossed aside after the Christmas season simply because its writing life is over. Highlighters on the other hand are used far less often. They could be used for months if not years. Highlighters will remain on your customers desktops promoting your brand.

The above listed ideas are just a few of the promotional products that are available to you.

Why not ask for a few samples and get your Christmas promotion on the road? Do you have any products you would like more information about? Perhaps you have an idea for your Christmas promotion but you want more information about certain low cost products? Feel free to share your thoughts, questions and experiences by leaving a comment.

Getting Promotional Christmas Gifts Right for Clients and Employees

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

What are you trying to accomplish by giving away promotional Christmas Gifts?

Promotional Christmas gifts work best, whether they be for clients or employees, if they are well thought out and different.

By different I mean promotional gifts that are not just the run of the mill presents that your competitors could be giving away. No… in order to achieve the most from your Christmas time promotions you need to be different.

The festive season is an excellent time to show your customers and employees just how much they mean to you. These gifts are usually given to say thank you more than they are to promote your brand. The thing is, they usually do both jobs very well!

For your best clients and top employees why not consider some of the top quality executive desktop gifts on offer. These include silver clocks, crystal paperweights, digital photo frames and high quality desktop puzzles. Promotional engraved pens manufactured by Cross, Parker or Lamy will also be very much appreciated and used though out the year.

Each of the top quality executive gifts can be expensive but they can be purchased and personalised in small quantities.

If you have a large quantity of employees and customers you want to give a little something to, you will be spoilt for choice.

Luxurious two and four piece chocolate boxes personalised with your logo, Christmas baubles, Christmas tree ornaments, and Santa stress balls are all fun, low cost gift ideas.

Good quality Christmas snow globes could sit on your customers’ desktop right into the new year. Desktop and wall calendars can now be personalised with your own pictures for truly unique promotions.

Let’s face it, people like to have a little Christmas cheer at the office. It is a magical season that brings out the best in most of us. Your logo printed stockings or Christmas tree ornaments could be the perfect way of helping your clients and employees enjoy the festive season.

I would like you to imagine the following office. It is your customer’s office.

On a small Christmas tree in the corner is a card from you and three glowing baubles. Your customer’s employees are all happily working away at their desks sipping from Christmas mugs with your logo and seasonal design on them. On your client’s desktop is a new executive digital photo frame. You have even downloaded the first five pictures onto it for him from last summer’s exhausting and much harder than expected charity walk you both participated in.

Do you get the picture? During the Christmas season it is so easy to get your company details all around your customers’ offices. This is especially so if you take some time to really choose your gifts carefully.

What is the best promotional Christmas gift you ever received? Have you ever given away Christmas gifts to your customers and/or employees? Feel free to leave your thoughts and experiences here by leaving a comment.

Promotional Gifts for the Office – Ideas for Christmas

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Do you give your customers and employees Christmas presents?

What a great way to let people know that you are thinking of them. Promotional Christmas gifts are usually purchased in small quantities and given to your top customers or employees that have really made a difference to you and your business.

Think of the products that you use every day and that should give you a good idea of what your customers would appreciate receiving.

Unless you know your customer quite well and know what their favourite brand of wine is or their hobbies, I generally tend to stick to promotional desktop gifts. These will more often than not give you the biggest bang for your buck. Here is why…

Every day we sit at our desks working. Often we could be on the phone or speaking to a colleague or customer across our desks. The desktop is therefore hot property. Offer your customers and employees a quality gift that sits on their desktop and it could remain there for years.

You could purchase good quality metal desk clocks. This is the type of gift that people will look at regularly. If you take the time to have your logo printed or engraved on the front, your contact details need rarely be out of view.

For your computer savvy customers you might like to look into the many different USB products on offer. There are USB hubs, calculator/clock mouse mats, USB fans and USB reading lights just to name a few.

The key to a successful Christmas time promotion is to look for gifts that people need or enjoy using.

I will never forget the year I received a cheap plastic luggage tag from one of my biggest suppliers at the time. I hope this does not make me sound snobby. Luggage tags have their place and are perfect for bulk mail shots and given away at exhibitions.

But this was different. I was one of my supplier’s biggest customers but rather than acknowledging that they sent all of their 2000 customers a plastic luggage tag as an end of year thank you gift.

Instead of sending gifts to the masses which could give your customers and employees the wrong impression or even make you look cheap, try to look for better quality gifts and purchase fewer of them. Thanking your top 100 customers and/or employees can be done quite inexpensively and will keep you in their thoughts.

What is the worst promotional gift you have every received? Have you ever received a surprise gift from a good supplier. Last year I received a case of really nice wine from one of my suppliers and their gift went down very nicely! How about you? Please feel free to share your ideas, thoughts and/or experiences by leaving a comment here.
