Promotional Gift Ideas for Occasions of all Sizes

How many ways can you think of to use promotional gifts?

More often than not people think of major advertising campaigns with printed promotional pens and eye-catching logo printed stress balls. Large advertising campaigns are indeed the perfect time to source your favourite promotional merchandise but what about smaller events?

Promotional products do not need to be purchased in massive quantities. Nicer quality promotional products can be purchased in very small quantities, even as few as one and engraved with someone’s name and/or logo.

This is often done around the holiday season when business people let their hair down and plan office Christmas parties and New Year get-togethers. Really, any event is perfect for promotional products! There are a large number of promotional gifts that can be used to commemorate special anniversaries, retirement days or top achiever awards.

In the past month alone, I have been contacted by a number of people looking for small quantities of top quality gifts. One woman was looking for table favours for her wedding and special gifts for the best man and bridesmaids. She found just what she was looking for from the large selection of promotional watches, metal coasters, engraved glasses and pocket mirrors on offer.

Another woman was planning a family reunion and specifically asked for mini digital photo frames to mark the day. We had a special family logo drawn up and engraved on the special commemorative gifts along with the date of the party.

The same person also had pictures of each family members printed onto t-shirts that were worn on the day. She told me that everyone felt a bit silly in them but they really helped make the day.

What other occasions can you think of that could benefit from promotional products?

Well allow me introduce a few more ideas to you. How about big birthday parties such as sweet sixteen parties? You could also use promo gifts to commemorate a special club event or to mark the end of an agonising charity run. I think you get the idea.

These gifts are all about making a special event even more special. People love to take something home with them to remember the day. Promotional gifts need not be expensive to be appreciated. In fact, it is often the low cost but usable products such as metal pens, t-shirts and desk clocks that get the most use and really do their job.

No matter what size your party or event may be, there are promotional products that will work perfectly to make the day or evening even better. Personalised promotional merchandise will make your event a day to remember.

Promotional Gifts – Reminders On The Desktop

colour change promotional clocks

One of our most popular colour change clocks - eye catching and great value for money

What was the last promotional gift you received? Do you still have it? Do you use it? One thing to keep in mind is longevity. Items that are always visible are constant reminders of your services.

Think about things you use every day at work. Here are some ideas that will keep your logo visible for years:

1. One of my favourite items is a nice clock. Everyone uses a clock. Once you have one on your desk like the promotional clock featured, it becomes a habit to look at it several times a day. There are a huge variety of clocks to choose from. All different shapes, sizes, colours and designs from whimsical to elegant. There are enough choices for any budget.

2. Office workers are becoming more aware of ergonomic environments and are now using the gel pad wrist rests for both keyboards and mice. Lots of room for your logo and/or catch phrase.

3. How about a USB hub with your logo? These days people have many different USB devices such as Ipods, phones, printers, etc. You can’t have too many USB ports and having a hub at your fingertips, with your logo of course, is a great accessory.

4. Although this is not a computer accessory, pen/pencil holders are another good way to get that brand out there. Most people don’t like clutter on their desks but a nice container will stay visible. Bright, cheerful colours always improve the mood in a workspace. Not everyone in the office likes the geek gift!

5. Everyone’s favourite is a mouse pad. Always on your desk and looked at hundreds of times a day. Inexpensive but appreciated. Nobody likes a dull mouse pad and it takes years to wear one out.

6. Maybe a digital desktop calendar? There are some that have an arm that quickly swings back and forth and delivers a message. You can program them quite easily and they are quite a conversation starter. This could easily bring your company to mind when they see such an unusual item.

7. It’s always fun to think outside the box. Why not brand a mouse? Receiving a gift like this will surely keep your company in the front of people’s mind.

So have some fun with your promotional gifts. Go crazy! Make your gift fun and memorable. What would you love to receive for your desk? What would put a smile on your face? Top quality promotional desktop gifts are most likely to be used and kept for years to come.

5 Ways Promotional Desktop Gifts Serve Your Business

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

Professional, innovative, cost-efficient. When people hear your business’s brand name, do these words come to mind? If not, your business can improve its image with promotional desktop gifts. Promotional desktop gifts can be specifically used to serve your business in a variety of ways that invoke feelings of appreciation in employees and customers. This article will discuss 5 ways promotional desktop gifts serve your business.

1. Making Customers Feel Respected and Valued
Do you know how difficult it is for large and small businesses to make customers feel this way? Too often, customers walk away from businesses feeling like they spent too much money or like customer service wasn’t up to par. Be the company that values its clients and set yourself apart from the crowd. Whenever a customer walks into your store or office, offer them a choice of promotional desktop gifts to take away. Leave that customer feeling like a superstar regardless of whether or not that customer made a purchase.

2. Motivate Employees
One fantastic idea a company recently used with promotional products was to create an optimism award of the month. The employee that maintained a high level of enthusiasm throughout the month in helping customers was awarded a full set of desktop gifts imprinted with “Optimist of the Month” and the company logo. In addition, the employee received a small cash bonus. Ideas like these are what inspire and motivate people to work their best for your company. Promotional desktop gifts can be a great way to boost worker productivity.

3. Recognize Company Leadership
All too often, the CEO or Board of Directors within a company is viewed in a negative way. Rather than feeding negative attitudes, companies may want to consider making a special award for the contributions of these individuals toward a company. Engraved photo frames and pen sets make wonderful recognition gifts for leadership. Employees may be happy to discover a slight raise in their next paycheck with this tip!

4. Boost Synergy
Synergy happens when all departments of a business are on the same page and work together. There is no bickering among departments about who is paid more or who gets the most work, when synergy is in place. Promotional desktop gifts for all departments can make everyone feel equally respected and valued.

5. Build Future Clientele
Specifically, your business may want to search out opportunities to hand out promotional desktop gifts in the community or city it resides. Perhaps a local cafe displays a bunch of pens with your company information on them for free. Before you know it, coffee-drinking clients from all over the city are seeking your business for products or services.

Serving your business in innovative ways is what promotional desktop gifts do best. Get yours today and watch the energy of your business soar!

5 Ways Promotional Desktop Gifts Work

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

It goes without saying that marketing has changed over the past few years.  Outbound marketing that has interrupted our daily lives for years is discouraged in favour of more inbound methods such as article marketing and social media marketing.  One thing that has not changed, however, is the effectiveness of good quality promotional desktop gifts.  Promotional gifts can be used in a number of ways.  Your customers will love you for giving them promotional merchandise that is catered to their needs.  Desktop gifts do not interrupt like those spam emails, annoying telephone calls and pop-up banners.  They simply promote your business in a concise, respectful way.  Here I would like to show you five ways promotional desktop gifts can be used to promote your business.

Promote Your Website

Business gifts are ideal for getting your customers and target customers to your website.  If you have a site that you would like to show off, make sure people know where to find it.  By printing your logo, website address and other details onto top quality desktop gifts such as mouse mats, clocks, pen holders and coaster, you are ensuring that your target audience knows how to find you when they require your services.

Promote Your New Address

Have you moved office lately?  Promotional merchandise is a brilliant way of getting the message out.  These gifts need not be expensive.  Inexpensive gift ideas for promotion include coasters, mouse mats and of course promotional pens.

Promote An Event

If you are sponsoring or attending an important event, let your target customers know with inexpensive gifts that they can use daily.  This will ensure that they know about your upcoming event.  Gifts like these increase the chance that they will attend the event.

Promote A New Employee

Business gifts are icebreakers.  If you have a new marketing manager or sales representative, arm them with good quality promotional pens, coasters, rulers, or mouse mats with your company name and their contact details to leave with new and existing customers.  Promotional printed gifts are so much better than boring business cards.

Promote Your Business With a Competition

People love free stuff.  Why not have a weekly competition on your Facebook ‘Like’ page or for readers of your blog.  Handing out inexpensive promotional desktop gifts such as mouse mats, mugs and coasters printed with your logo and details will make the competition winners happy and keep your details within view.
